HISTORY
OF MONICA'S BEST
In 1991, the beginning stages of creating a gourmet cookie began while
bed ridden with a high-risk pregnancy. Having flavors rush through
my brain and only a pen and paper to create them, I began to list
what I would combine when I'd be back on my feet.
Several
months later the ingredients were blended, and it took an additional
seven years to perfect and duplicate each batch. For that, I owe
the honesty of my family and friends who have taste tested hundreds
of cookies through the years, and still continue to be my greatest
critics and support.
During
the testing years before MONICA'S BEST was created, what is now
known as the Signature Chocolate Chip cookie was just known as "really
good chocolate chips," and was brought along with all the catering
jobs I hustled up. Before long, it didn't matter what I catered
as long as the chocolate chip cookies were on the menu. Over time,
the catering of gourmet food was condensed to just gourmet cookies.

thanks to my oldest brother for throwing out a name one day, MONICA'S
BEST GOURMET COOKIES began.
